Married Life and Puppies

I have got to get better at keeping up with my blog! Although things will be much easier now that I am settled in to my new apartment with my husband! First of all, about 3 weeks before our wedding, we got two new puppies!! I know, we are crazy, but we love them! Blog world, meet Bailey and Beamer:

They are miniature schnauzers and they are brother and sister. Bailey is on the right and Beamer is on the left.

Now I must share some wedding pictures. Our wedding was at Second Baptist Church and the reception was at the Petroleum Club. It was absolutely a dream come true.
The church. I love the fountain in front!

My bridal party! Complete with my sweet flower girls. They are fraternal twins!

Me and my new husband right after the ceremony. The photographer really captured how happy we were to be married.

Our car that took us to the reception. A classic Rolls Royce!

The reception room. It was absolutely breathtaking!

My husband and I took dance lessons for our first dance, and fireworks went off during the dance! That really surprised our guests!

My husband and I had another big surprise!! We met playing trumpet in highschool, so we got up with the band at our wedding and played trumpet with them!! We had SO much fun!!!

Hopefully you can get the idea of our wedding from the pictures! I am most definitely enjoying married life, and I am learning how to cook all sorts of different things! Stay tuned for a blog post with a recipe soon!!

The real world is approaching!

So I know it has been awhile since I have posted. I have been so busy with wedding planning and school! I can't believe that our wedding is in 81 days! As my fiance' reminded me the other day, we started out with over 400 days!! Soon I will get to call this cutie my husband!!

So, since my last post I have taken bridal portraits taken. I had so much fun, and our photographer did an amazing job. Getting to wear my dress with hair and makeup done made it feel so real! For the blogger world, I will only show my bridal bouquet.
I also was able to pick up my cap and gown for graduation! 53 days! I can't believe I am graduating college so soon. I still remember my first day as a freshman in highschool, and feeling like it would last forever! And now I am here, and about to be married and in the real world!

The wedding planning process is definitely getting down to the wire, and I won't say that I am not stressed. But I will say that I am so blessed to have some amazing people helping me. My Mom has been amazing throughout the entire process, and has jumped at any opportunity to make things easier for me. My wonderful Maid of Honor Lisa, has gone above and beyond and made me feel so special. I love how truly happy she is for me, and how excited she is to help. And last but not least, I have to thank my sweet fiance' Brian. He has been the complete opposite of your typical guy during the wedding planning process. He has been SO helpful, constantly asking me what he can do, and always offering his input for decisions. I am so lucky to have these three people, and many more in my life. I love you all very much!!

I will try my best to blog again soon!

Valentine's Day Zoo Adventures and Huge Roses

I went to Houston this weekend to spend my Valentine's Day weekend with Brian. I hate that he isn't actually here to spend Valentine's Day with me, but we do a pretty good job of making up for that (if I do say so myself!) The first Valentine's Day surprise was when Brian showed up on Saturday gripping a dozen roses with both hands. Now why would he need two hands you ask? Well these roses were the BIGGEST roses I have ever seen in my entire life!! And of course, they were orange!!
Of course he included Godiva chocolates!! Yum!!!
So after receiving my amazing flowers, Brian and I went to the zoo in typical Lindsay and Brian fashion. We love the zoo, and Brian's parents just renewed our membership for Christmas. They know us too well! I just want to share some amazing pictures Brian took with his new camera lens...
Of course, since I am a Baylor bear, we had to get some pictures of the bears. These are Spectacled Bears!
An adorable monkey that looked like a sweet teddy bear to me!

Brian HAD to get a picture of my favorite animal in the whole wide world: A SLOTH!! And yes I am serious!!

I had a wonderful Valentine's weekend. I want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!! Remember, Valentine's Day is a holiday to appreciate all of the loved ones in your life! So don't forget to tell the important people in your life that you love them!

Three Years With My Love

Hey guys! I have a couple of wonderful friends who decided to start blogs, and after a few weeks of reading them, I decided to start a blog of my own!! I hope to share important events in my life, or special things that happen during the day! I am currently focused on planning my wedding and graduating with an Elementary Education degree from Baylor University! I am graduating on May 14th, and getting married on June, 11th. 2011 is an exciting year for me, and I hope you enjoy following along!

My sweet fiance's name is Brian Evans, and I am so excited to become the future Mrs. Evans! Our three year anniversary was this week on February 7th, so I thought I would post a few pictures to take you on a journey of our past three years together. Enjoy!

This is the first picture we ever took together! We were at a movie theater in College Station. We used to meet there because it is halfway between Waco and Houston. We saw the movie Stop-Loss, which was a TERRIBLE movie, but we had a great time anyway!

Our one-year anniversary!! It was so amazing. Brian planned the whole thing as a surprise to me. We went on a picnic, went to Swirl, saw a movie, went to dinner at Sambuca's, and went to see John Williams at the symphony!! Whew! My baby is amazing!

Our two year anniversary!! It was my turn to plan this one! Of course he brought me some beautiful orange flowers!! We went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science (Brian's favorite)

December 24th, 2009 - The day my life changed forever. I said YES!!

One of our engagement pictures! They were taken at my Lakehouse in Lake Mcqueeney.

Our three year anniversary!! Brian surprised me and came to Waco, because I couldn't get down to Houston with all of the snow and ice!! We went to a Hibachi restaurant in Waco. It was my first time and it was so fun!!
I hope you enjoyed my first post! Please feel free to comment!
