Every month is
getting more and more fun! Savannah is really developing a personality
now and it is so much fun to watch her discover new things every day
Loves: This is the first month
that Savannah hasn't insisted on being in the Bjorn most of the time,
although she still loves it! She also loves pat-a-cake, being sung to,
playing on her mat, bouncing in her bouncer, and being tickled. Her
favorite thing of all is looking in the mirror. It makes her smile every
time!!
Eating:She is eating every 3-4
hours a day, so about 5 times a day. We started sleep training on New
Year's Eve, so some nights she will eat once, and other nights she
doesn't need to eat at all.
Sleeping: As stated above we
started sleep training this month. She really has done pretty well as far
as not crying very much. Some nights she goes down without any crying,
other times she will cry for about 3 minutes before putting herself to
sleep. She still wakes up several times at night, so we are working on
teaching her to self-soothe in the middle of the night just like she
does at the beginning of the night. We give her a bath at 7:15, she
nurses and gets a bottle to make sure she is full, and then we put her
in her crib at 8:00 pm.She usually wakes up a few times, but she gets up for the day at 7 or 7:30 am.
Clothes: She is in 3-6 month
clothes and Size 2 diapers! I packed away all of her newborn clothes and
0-3 month clothes this month. She is growing so fast!!
Fun Facts: Savannah is a very
particular little lady. She refuses to burp unless the pacifier is in
her mouth. It is TOO funny. If I don't put it in, she will cry until I
do. The first time Savannah laughed out loud was when she went to visit
her great-grandparents on my side. Her 88 year old great-grandfather got
down on his hands and knees and was playing with her and she just
laughed and laughed. It was so sweet.
Mommy Moments: Savannah had her
first diaper blowout that involved washing the crib sheet and giving
her a bath! Yikes lol! It has been so much fun to hear her little laugh
this month. I am feeling great about our schedule now that we have done
sleep training.
Now for some pictures of Month Four!
