Here is the cake! Half pink, half blue. It turned out so cute!
We had everyone wear pink or blue to the party depending on what they thought the baby was. My husband's sister was the first girl on his side of the family in 112 years, so not surprisingly, most of his family wore blue!
The blue team!! My parents cheated and they originally wore blue to the party, but they both brought pink shirts too, ready to change if they were wrong. So look for them in both team pictures. My Dad is the man on the bottom left, and my Mom is not the woman right above him, but the one right above her.
The pink team! Notice my Dad in the same spot, and my Mom right above me! Haha!
At 6:00 it was time to cut the cake!! Both my husband and I wore pink. We counted down from 5 and....!
The cake was PINK! We are having a little GIRL! We are very excited. Although my husband wanted a boy, you can just see in his face how excited he is in the picture! So sweet.
Now for the fun part, we have decided to name this little lady....
Savannah Kay Evans
I have always loved the name Savannah for a girl, and to my surprise when I mentioned it to Brian he really liked it too! My middle name is Kay and so is my Mom's, so I really wanted to pass that down to our first daughter. I think her name has a sweet Southern sound to it, and we definitely want to raise a little girl with some Southern charm! We had a blast at our party, and I recommend this idea to anyone who is thinking of finding out the gender of their baby before delivery. It was so exciting to find out this way!
