Valentine's Day Zoo Adventures and Huge Roses

I went to Houston this weekend to spend my Valentine's Day weekend with Brian. I hate that he isn't actually here to spend Valentine's Day with me, but we do a pretty good job of making up for that (if I do say so myself!) The first Valentine's Day surprise was when Brian showed up on Saturday gripping a dozen roses with both hands. Now why would he need two hands you ask? Well these roses were the BIGGEST roses I have ever seen in my entire life!! And of course, they were orange!!
Of course he included Godiva chocolates!! Yum!!!
So after receiving my amazing flowers, Brian and I went to the zoo in typical Lindsay and Brian fashion. We love the zoo, and Brian's parents just renewed our membership for Christmas. They know us too well! I just want to share some amazing pictures Brian took with his new camera lens...
Of course, since I am a Baylor bear, we had to get some pictures of the bears. These are Spectacled Bears!
An adorable monkey that looked like a sweet teddy bear to me!

Brian HAD to get a picture of my favorite animal in the whole wide world: A SLOTH!! And yes I am serious!!

I had a wonderful Valentine's weekend. I want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!! Remember, Valentine's Day is a holiday to appreciate all of the loved ones in your life! So don't forget to tell the important people in your life that you love them!

  2. I like the zoo, except...

    1. It's expensive with three kids

    and

    2. I live in Miami. Code for: the heat is killer! Not including how the animals smell in the heat, thank you very much! Lol!

What does your fiance shoot? Nikon, Canon?

  3. Thanks Mallorie!!

Gail, I can understand why the zoo might not be your favorite place! My fiance has a Canon and he loves it!

  4. :) I have a Nikon, but I'll forgive him. JK. Canon is great, too. They're pretty comparable. It's just that I started out with Nikon and you tend to stick with what you know...you know? Lol.
